SIX-TY

Born in 2016, SIX-TY was a multi-year project spanning solo, group, and duet iterations. Through intensive writing, scripting, and movement processes, SIX-TY considered the following questions: How is time and space experienced in the body among the polarization of partisan politics? How have various presidencies in the United States informed the collective body of the people, their interactions with coercive historical frameworks, and their relationships to future truth-making? The creation and performances of SIX-TY were supported by Spark Dance Forum and the 92nd St. Y. Photos by Spark Dance Forum and Al Firstenberg.
